Life is complicated enough without having to constantly think of how others will view you and judge everything you say and do. This is especially futile since everyone has their own ‘sliding scale’ by which they judge others and their actions.

There is no way that we can, or should even try to measure up to ‘who’ others think we should be, or ‘what’ others think we should be doing, as it’s a constantly moving target…most often with the bulls eye in the wrong place, regardless of who it is and what they believe…they are still human after all.

It’s much more beneficial for us to spend our time being concerned with how God approves of what we think, say and do, as he is the only consistent, unchanging scale by which we can measure ourselves. God will also be the final judge, which guarantees justice in the end.

Verse
Every move I make. You criticize, you claim mistake.
Every time I act. You make it your place to claim your take.
Every thought I have. You’d second guess if you had the chance.
No mystery on your face. Judge if you will, you feel that its your place.

Bridge
I can see your twisted, judging eyes on me.
I don’t care at all what you now think of me.

Verse
I am not always convinced. I know what’s best.
In the scope of life I’m lost. With reason I will rest.
What once was black and white. Now fills with shades of gray.
My actions and my thoughts. My motives will betray.

Bridge
I can feel transfixing, judging eyes on me.
I don’t care at all what you now think of me.

Chorus
You sit on your pedestal, look on me down below.
I have the right to choose, wrong or right.
You sit in your place with judgement on your face.
I’ll tell you your business. Stay out of mine.

Solo

Bridge
I can hear false accusations made of me.
I don’t care at all, what you now say of me.

Verse
I’ve made enough mistakes. To know I see a fool.
No desire to live with. Self hatred sly and cruel.
What once was black and white. Now fills with shades of gray.
Acceptance is the norm. If things are done your way.

Chorus
You sit on your pedestal, look on all, down below.
I know the truth, I know what’s right.
You sit in your place with judgement on your face.
I’ll tell you your business. Stay out of mine.

Bridge
I can feel your burning, judging eyes on me.
I don’t care, because the slain’s blood set me free.

Chorus
You sit on your pedestal, look on all down below.
I know the truth, I know what’s right.
You sit in your place with judgement on your face.
I’ll tell you your business. Stay out of mine.

Lead Out
Leave me be. Don’t judge me.
Leave me be. Don’t judge me.
